About us
We are Giorgio and Laura the owners of these four Real Venetian Apartments in two ancient buildings. The three-story house with garden in Sestiere Santa Croce, which now has three apartments, was Giorgio’s family home for generations. The other one in Sestiere San Polo, with one apartment was another family house belonging to Giorgio’s father.
The buildings have been renovated to an excellent standard while maintaining all the original ancient features such as the beams and terrazzo floors have been retained and the well can be seen on the ground floor. The result is that when you enter your apartment, the fabulous atmosphere of Venice with its romance, art and architecture follows you. The Venetian style of the apartments, using furnishings produced by Venetian Artisans for centuries compliments the sympathetic conversion and after a very short while you will feel like locals. You have the advantages of a hotel (modern facilities such as plentiful hot water, clean rooms and linen) plus extras such as a washing machine and the luxury of the extra space in which to feel at home. After a long day sightseeing you can relax in comfort and privacy in the living room of your apartment or, dependent upon the apartment, outside in the garden or on your terrace. We have designed each apartment carefully to make your stay a happy one.
We like our guests to leave Venice, feeling as though they’ve left a favourite friend behind and they must go back. This is our goal and we hope to see you again and again as we do many of our guests.
We both speak Italian, English, German, and French and are always at your disposal for anything you may need.
