The Redentore Feast is a deeply felt celebration in Venice. It has a long history. On July the 13th 1577 the plague was declared definitely over and the Venetians decided to celebrate its end on the third Sunday in July and in order to allow the procession to cross over the Giudecca Canal into the Church it was built a bridge of boats and since 1577 every year the Venetians build this boats-bridge again-

And do not loose the Fireworks in St. Mark’s Basin. They are amazing, reflecting in the water with the black silohuette of gondolas!
